Historique :	Entourage d'Anton-Maria Margliano (1664-1739). Ce type de sculpture figurant le Christ mort était utilisé pour dresser des reposoirs lors de la Semaine Sainte. Les épaules n'ont pas une conformation et des courbes naturelles. Il semblerait que cette sculpture ait été un Christ avec bras articulés porté en procession sur une croix et dont on aurait ultérieurement scié les bras afin de les disposer longitudinalement au corps. La polychromie n'est pas d'origine.
